License art by Carrie Alderfer

Carrie graduated with honors from the University of Alabama in Huntsville with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art in 1997. Following college, she was employed with various companies as a graphic designer, web programmer and art director. In 2002 she launched ChromAddict Studio. Currently at Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment, ChromAddict offers design services, fine art, and unique gift items.

Carrie works primarily with Prismacolor Premier colored pencils, but also uses wax crayons, acrylics, watercolor pencils, and gouache. She creates her works on various surfaces including paper and cradled birch panels. Her style is colorful and dynamic. Influenced by her work as a graphic designer and her love of the historical art movements of art nouveau, mid-century modern, and contemporary realism, she infuses her pieces with strong lines, emotional colors, and approachable subjects.

Carrie believes that art should be available to everyone and that it truly enriches life. She would love to work with companies that see the potential of her works just as she does. She would love to create works just for your needs too! As a seasoned graphic designer, she can work with your style guides and templates to fit her work to your existing products as well.

Think Carrie’s works would be a fantastic fit for your products? We would love to hear from you! Let’s get started brainstorming ideas and possibilities. I also have products available online at wholesale prices, so please contact me if you’re interested in carrying my products in your space.
