Sweet Home Alabama SLS Ornament

Huntsville, Alabama plays an important role in the development of NASA’s SLS rocket, and I celebrate that with a Sweet Home Alabama ornament. My original design was created with colored pencils and paint pens.

For this ornament I scanned my original art. I then print it with pigment ink and cut out the print with the Cricut. I spray the backs of the wood discs with glitter paint. I use acrylic gel medium to adhere the print to the wood, add glitter, and then seal with a UV spray varnish. Each ornament comes with a coordinating ribbon so it is ready to hang.
