Santa Cat Ornament

“Santa Cat” is part of the 2023 Chairished Cats Calendar and was made for the month of December. When I found this photo of a cat with markings that made him look like he had a white beard, I knew I needed a Santa Cat. And no Santa is complete without a helpful elf checking the Naughty/Nice list. Though with that broken ornament on the floor, Santa Cat might be on the naughty list.
For this ornament I scanned my original art. I then print it with pigment ink and cut out the print with the Cricut. I spray the backs of the wood discs with glitter paint. I use acrylic gel medium to adhere the print to the wood, add glitter, and then seal with a UV spray varnish. Each ornament comes with a coordinating ribbon so it is ready to hang.
