STS 47: Never Limit Yourself Space Shuttle Ornament

This ornament is pulled from “STS-47: Never Limit Yourself,” and honors the women on board STS 47, Mae Jemison and Jan Davis. The flowers in the piece are the birth month flowers for each woman. The title, “Never Limit Yourself,” comes from the quote, “Never limit yourself because of others’ limited imaginations…” from Mae Jemison.

For this ornament I scanned my original art. I then print it with pigment ink and cut out the print with the Cricut. I spray the backs of the wood discs with glitter paint. I use acrylic gel medium to adhere the print to the wood, add glitter, and then seal with a UV spray varnish. Each ornament comes with a coordinating ribbon so it is ready to hang.
