Sweet Home Saturn V Ornament

This ornament is pulled from “Sweet Home Saturn V,” a Sweet Home Alabama piece combining NASA’s Saturn V rocket and the various landscapes of Alabama, from the beach to the mountains. NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center is located in Huntsville, AL, and helped with the development and testing of the Saturn V.

For this ornament I scanned my original art. I then print it with pigment ink and cut out the print with the Cricut. I spray the backs of the wood discs with glitter paint. I use acrylic gel medium to adhere the print to the wood, add glitter, and then seal with a UV spray varnish. Each ornament comes with a coordinating ribbon so it is ready to hang.
