“Pondering” has been accepted into Embracing Art : A Coming Together of Area Amateur & Professional Artists at the Carnegie Visual Arts Center in Decatur, AL. The show will be March 14 – April 22.
I love my colored pencils. They’re not messy. The colors are amazing. And I love that I can be super detailed in my work. BUT – I miss the abstraction I achieved with acrylics. I feel that “photo realism”, while amazing, is just not me. I’m more emotional, silly, some might even say…
People seem to be intrigued about my drawing process, so here are some photos of the clouded leopard I finished recently. I’m using Prismacolor Premier colored pencils on Canson Mi-Teintes pastel paper.
“Sunshine” received a Special Merit award in Light Space Time’s All Women competition! “I Spy” was also included in the online exhibit. There were 890 entries from all over the world. What a great way to start the new year! Sunshine I Spy

I’m getting ready for Monte Sano and River Clay! These are new painted penny tile designs that will be available. Each one is hand-painted on a tile, baked, and then coated with poly. A ribbon or leather cord is included for $10 plus tax. These will also be available in my etsy store.
