Steampunk Cat Ornament

“Steampunk Cat” is part of the 2023 Chairished Cats Calendar and was made for the month of September. I love steampunk with it’s crazy combinations of the past and the future, so this white fluffy cat on this fun and funky chair seemed like a great mix that just begged for a steampunk style.

For this ornament I scanned my original art. I then print it with pigment ink and cut out the print with the Cricut. I spray the backs of the wood discs with glitter paint. I use acrylic gel medium to adhere the print to the wood, add glitter, and then seal with a UV spray varnish. Each ornament comes with a coordinating ribbon so it is ready to hang.
