Smile, Buzz Ornament

“Smile, Buzz” has been a favorite art print, so I decided to feature it on an ornament this year. It is based on a photo of Buzz Aldrin taken by Neil Armstrong during their first moon landing, The original art for this piece was created with colored pencils, wax crayons, and acrylics.
For this ornament I scanned my original art. I then print it with pigment ink and cut out the print with the Cricut. I spray the backs of the wood discs with glitter paint. I use acrylic gel medium to adhere the print to the wood, add glitter, and then seal with a UV spray varnish. Each ornament comes with a coordinating ribbon so it is ready to hang.
